Whir, hiss: Steampunk

I never used to care for subcultures. I know, I know -- I was angsty in high school too, but I didn't really get the idea of inflicting my angst on other people. It all felt a bit silly, really, plus my skills at dressing to fit a style are somewhat...shaky.

No more.

Well, sort of -- I can totally dress myself now. Mostly. But Ihave found my niche, my calling, my adorable little subculture.. You can keep your black leather, your tattoos and your piercings, your alarmingly plaid shirts and suede shoes -- I'll be busy having tea and discussing the finer points of Victorian etiquette. We'll be pretending it's 1847 -- no, not that 1847, the other one -- and one-upping each other's waistcoats.

Tea? Formal dress and bizarre headgear? Fiery political debate with someone who claims to be a Whig?
