Description

On the outskirts of Edinburgh, hidden behind the Queen's palace of Holyroodhouse (actual name), lie the ancient ruins of Holyrood Abbey. These ornate stone columns and intricately decorated cloisters have been the site of worship since 1128. I have never contemplated something so old, much less found myself able to photograph it.

Beautiful. Not sure how I missed this ruin when visiting Edinburgh!
